Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how App Lane OÜ ("we," "us," or "Company") handles information when you use the AirHRM mobile application ("AirHRM") and this website. It is provided as a draft for legal review and publication. Health and workout data needed to stream heart rate are processed primarily on your iPhone; we do not operate a cloud service that stores your live heart rate readings.
Data We Collect
AirHRM reads heart rate (and related signals made available by Apple for compatible AirPods Pro through Apple Health / HealthKit) on device to run an active workout and rebroadcast heart rate over Bluetooth Low Energy to equipment you pair. Those health samples are not uploaded to our servers for real-time streaming. We do not sell personal health data.
We may collect anonymized or aggregated diagnostics such as crash reports and basic usage events (for example, app launches or feature usage) via Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics. These tools are not intended to receive heart rate values. Such data may be processed by Google LLC — see Google's privacy policy for details.
HealthKit
AirHRM uses HealthKit to access heart rate information needed during an active session and may create or update workout data as permitted by the app's HealthKit entitlements and your choices in the Health app. Data accessed through HealthKit is used to deliver core app functionality (including Live Activities where supported) and is not used for marketing or sold. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app; doing so may prevent AirHRM from working.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
AirHRM uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (by Google LLC) to collect anonymized usage data and crash reports. No personal or health data is included. This data is processed by Google — see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
How We Use Information
We use analytics and crash data to operate, maintain, and improve AirHRM, and to detect abuse or fraud. We do not use it for cross-app advertising or sell it.
Information We Share
We do not sell your personal information. Analytics and crash reporting may be processed by Google LLC (Firebase) as described above. Apple processes App Store and subscription data according to Apple's terms. We may disclose information if required by law.
Children's Privacy
AirHRM is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable under GDPR, we process data on the following bases:
- Contractual necessity — HealthKit access is required to deliver heart rate bridging during a session.
- Legitimate interests — maintaining and improving AirHRM, including anonymized crash and usage statistics.
Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of Zurich, Switzerland. If you have unresolved privacy concerns, you may contact your local data protection authority. EU users may contact their country's supervisory authority.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of AirHRM after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
